Getting started with Novisly

This guide takes you from a fresh install to your first automated AI call. Plan on about five minutes, plus a VAPI account.

Before you start: make sure you can install marketplace apps in HubSpot and that you have a VAPI account with an API key ready.

1 · Install Novisly in HubSpot

  1. Go to app.novisly.com/install and click Add to HubSpot.
  2. Choose the HubSpot account (portal) you want to connect.
  3. Review the requested scopes on HubSpot’s consent screen and approve.
  4. You’ll be redirected into the Novisly dashboard, connected to your portal.

2 · Connect your VAPI key

Novisly places calls through your own VAPI account, so you control numbers, voices and cost.

  1. In VAPI, copy your API key.
  2. In Novisly, open Settings → VAPI and paste the key.
  3. Save. Novisly verifies the key and is now able to place calls on your behalf.
Heads up: minutes are billed by VAPI under your account. Make sure your VAPI account has a phone number and billing set up.

3 · Build an AI agent

An agent defines how the call sounds and what it’s trying to achieve.

  1. Open Agents → New agent.
  2. Give it a name (e.g. Qualified-lead follow-up).
  3. Write the prompt: who the agent is, the goal of the call, and how it should handle common responses.
  4. Set the success criteria — what counts as a good outcome (e.g. “booked a demo”).
  5. Pick a voice and save.

4 · Create your first automation

  1. Open Automations → New automation.
  2. Select the pipeline and the stage that should trigger a call.
  3. Choose the agent to run.
  4. Map any fields to write back (summary, success, plus custom extracted data → deal properties).
  5. Optionally enable advance the deal to a next stage on success.
  6. Turn the automation on.
Tip: test by moving a real (or test) deal into the trigger stage and watch the call fire.

5 · Read the results

After a call completes, Novisly writes the outcome back to HubSpot and logs it in-app.

  • On the deal record: summary, success evaluation and any extracted fields.
  • In Novisly’s call log: full transcript and recording to listen back.
  • If enabled, the deal has already advanced to the next stage.
